Aagard Reunion 2010

This year we went up on the Big Horns and camped at Dead Swede. We had a great time visiting with family, playing, and relaxing. We really missed Mike's mom and dad but are so happy they are serving a mission in the Ukraine. We are so proud of them and feel so blessed to have them as parents and grandparents.
Trig loves the mountains.
Hunter wants to do whatever Dad is doing. He's a good little helper.
We camped right next to the river. The kids loved swimming and fishing.
Yeah! We caught a fish!

My handyman!

Right before I left for girls camp Mike started making a porch swing. I am so amazed at how good he is at building things. I love the swing!

That's him...my good looking handyman!
So I was gone for a couple of days to go to girls camp, and he stayed home to take care of the boys. I knew he wanted to finish sanding and painting the swing, but I figured he would be too busy to get it done. I thought now he'll understand why it's hard for me to get big projects done while caring for two active boys, but to my surprise when I got home he had not one, not two but three swings finished. He did such a good job. They look so nice and they are comfortable, too. The boys were happy, fed, clothed, and well taken care of. Well, I guess I now have no excuses.

We picked up an old table for sale at Dirty Annie's on our way up the mountain for a camp out. It was in pretty bad shape. The chairs were falling apart, and the varnish was flaking off. When Mike and I saw it we were excited for the challenge. Mike started repairing the broken chairs the minute we got home. Some sanding and alittle paint, and it looks bran new.

Bake Sale!

I got to watch the girls for a day while Dana had some stuff to do. Callin and Madie wanted to have a bake sale and earn some money so they each decided to make something different. Madie made no-bake cookies and Callin made peanut butter cookies. They both turned out delicious! They took their cookies and a white table and headed to the main street. They weren't gone very long when they came back with big grins on their faces. They had made about seven dollars and all the cookies were gone. I wish I had taken a picture of them out by the road. We had a great day!

Swimming Lessons!

Hunter had his first year of swimming lessons. He did great and had so much fun. He was really brave and passed all of his requirements. He got to ride with his cousins everyday so that made it really fun. He's looking forward to doing it again next year!

Cove Fort

On our way home we decided to stop at Cove Fort Historic Site. It was a pioneer way station built in 1867. The Hinckley family stayed there and welcomed travelers as they passed through. We have driven by so many times but have never stopped. A couple from our ward are serving a mission there so we decided to stop and were hoping we would get to see them. After our tour we were headed to the parking lot when sister Johnson yelled, "It is them!" They had seen our county 9 plates and were hoping it was our car. It was so great to see them. This would be a neat place to serve a mission.

Memorial Day 2010

Our first vacation for the summer was a trip to Tropic for memorial day. We had a great visit. All of my Dad's brothers and sister were there. It is always great to see them. I don't feel like I get to see them enough. All of my brothers and sisters were there, too. It was great. We stopped to visit my mother's grave.

Casia's baptism

I'm way behind on my blogging so I am starting back in May when we went down to Tropic for Casia's baptism. I started making a quilt for all my nieces when they turn eight years old. It's been fun for me to make them. Sometimes I wonder what I got myself into when I'm up late into the night trying to finish it. I hope they know that they are made with lots of love. With this quilt I was able to use a machine quilter for the first time. I loved it. This wonderful lady from my ward let me use hers. I still need to replace a couple of needles that I broke. I sure appreciated her letting me try it out. I think it made the quilt really cute. I stitched in a heart design.
I was pretty nervous and tense. It took me a while to loosen up a bit.

Me and Casia. I love you Casia and am so proud of you. You are growing up to be such a beautiful young lady.

My baby brother David and my Dad. Love these guys!
