Memorial Day 2010

Our first vacation for the summer was a trip to Tropic for memorial day. We had a great visit. All of my Dad's brothers and sister were there. It is always great to see them. I don't feel like I get to see them enough. All of my brothers and sisters were there, too. It was great. We stopped to visit my mother's grave.

Casia's baptism

I'm way behind on my blogging so I am starting back in May when we went down to Tropic for Casia's baptism. I started making a quilt for all my nieces when they turn eight years old. It's been fun for me to make them. Sometimes I wonder what I got myself into when I'm up late into the night trying to finish it. I hope they know that they are made with lots of love. With this quilt I was able to use a machine quilter for the first time. I loved it. This wonderful lady from my ward let me use hers. I still need to replace a couple of needles that I broke. I sure appreciated her letting me try it out. I think it made the quilt really cute. I stitched in a heart design.
I was pretty nervous and tense. It took me a while to loosen up a bit.

Me and Casia. I love you Casia and am so proud of you. You are growing up to be such a beautiful young lady.

Look...no training wheels!

Hunter learned how to ride his bike without training wheels this week. We are so proud of him. He has been so determined to do it. He's had a lot of falls but keeps getting right back up and trying again. This morning at bath time I noticed a lot of scrapes and bruises on his arms and legs. He earned every one. We've also had a lot of tears but are starting to see more smiles. He's really getting it down. Way to go Hunter!!!!

Cousin Fun!

Hunter and Trig were able to spend a fun day with their cousins. I went to babysit during the day for my brother Kenny and his wife Jodi. They have two cute little girls. Their ages are within weeks of my little boys so I got a little taste of what it would be like with two sets of twins. It was really a lot of fun. I've definitely gotta get me some girls.

Fun in the Sun!

We are so excited for warm weather at our house. Every day Hunter asks if it's warm enough to put on swimming shorts so he can play in the water. He loves water and lately has been having fun finding worms. The other day he found about thirty worms and was ready to go fishing. If dad didn't have so much homework to do I'm sure he would have been all for that. This is his last semester of PE classes. Yeah!

Trigdon loves his swing. He is going to have so much fun outside this summer. He was so relaxed, he almost fell asleep. Can you believe he is already 7 months old? He got his first 2 teeth this weekend. He knows how to say a couple of words--Hunter and Dada. We're still working on Mama.
Our dog Whisper. She loves it when it's nice enough for the kids to play outside.

Hunter was really making me nervous here. I thought he was going to go right over the top. He hung out with Jackson last week and is feeling very adventurous and brave.
Trig didn't like sitting on the grass very much. I'm sure by the time summer is over, he will love it.

Christmas Day 2009!!!

We all got up and met at my dad's house at 6:00. Hunter was soooo excited.
Mike...not so much. Morning definitely came early.

Trig...not so much
Trig loves his new toy from Megan's family. He doesn't look very excited here, but he really does think it's fun.

I love the shirt Aunt Amy gave him. Thanks Amy!
Uncle Clint crimping Sedley's hair. I think he went into the wrong profession.
Even Dana got her bangs crimped

Christmas Eve 2009!

We spent Christmas in Tropic this year with all of the Pollocks. We had such a fun time. The house was full of fun and full of family. My dad has 24 grandkids and they were all there for Christmas. I think there were 41 of us all together.

Hunter was excited to open 1 present on Christmas Eve.
Dad reading the Christmas story out of the bible. My favorite part of the evening.
Earlier that day we went down to the firehall to see santa, play on the fire truck, and drink hot chocolate.

I don't know where he gets it...
...from his dad!
